Downtown Newburyport Senior Portrait Photography

What a fun senior portrait session! I met with A. and her mom in Downtown Newburyport, which is a great location for senior portrait photography or even family photography if you like a touch of urban flair and style to your photographs. Like most, this was A’s first professional photo shoot, but what a fantastic job she did letting herself enjoy the experience! For an hour this late afternoon, we walked a loop through the quaint streets of Newburyport and then down along the waterfront. I always strive to include variety in my sessions, so we move about fairly frequently to change up the background and experiment with stationary and moving poses. Thank you both for your energy and enthusiasm, and for choosing to work with me!

To those visiting my blog, are you in search of a Newburyport or North Shore senior portrait photographer? If so, please do reach out so we can talk about collaborating on a session for you as well!

Plum Island Senior Portrait Photography

Thanks to a pretty mild winter this year, the New England seashores have been fair game for senior and family portrait photography. Plum Island is always a favorite, with its quiet beaches, abutting cottages, and nearby bird sanctuaries. Miles of them. In fact, you’re likely to stumble upon more bird photographers on Plum Island than portrait photographers, at least this early in the year!

Despite a lingering chill in the air, this shoot is a good example of making a session work even when the shorts and sunscreen aren’t quite out yet. Bundle up with a few layers of clothing, sport a stylish jacket and scarf, and you’re ready to go. The light was warm and welcoming, and there were plenty of great opportunities for a memorable afternoon session.

Most of all, thanks to this motivated senior for braving the elements and working with me!
