BOSTON CIVIL CEREMONY MARRIAGE PHOTOGRAPHER

What a treat it was to photograph this marriage at Medford City Hall! This was my first time visiting this location, which was not only blooming with flowering trees outdoors, but the real gem was the grand staircase leading from the lobby up to the second floor. The architecture inspired plenty of wonderful camera angles using the existing natural light, and Kyle and Iris were all for exploring to see what we could capture.

I’ve photographed numerous civil marriages at Boston City Hall and Cambridge City Hall, and the approach to getting married at Medford City Hall was very similar. Our first stop was a check-in with the city clerk’s office to finalize the marriage license before meeting with the register to conduct the civil ceremony. Once married, Kyle, Iris, and I spent an hour or so taking pictures on the staircase and adjacent halls before heading outdoors. The surrounding landscape was bursting with a peak bloom, and with such fantastic color, there was no reason to seek out another location!
