Ward Reservation Family Portrait Session

ANDOVER FAMILY PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER

Spring is here and Boston is starting to tease warmer weather, and that means more session time in the great outdoors! Late afternoon golden hour is still the favored time for scheduling natural light sessions, but early morning sessions can be just as wonderful. With the sun still low in the sky and the air crisp, there’s a refreshing vibe to an early bird session like this one. Morning sessions are also a great choice for families whose little ones (or adults!) tend to lose steam by day’s end. Some of us just do better in the mornings, and though we always want to take into account the light, it’s also important the people we are lighting are also at their best. Another benefit of an early day shoot: the rest of your day’s schedule is open for other activities without having to worry about keeping everyone close by and tidy for a late day session. Not that you want to get your session “out of the way”, but again with the little ones, it’s sometimes easier to start the day with a session verses hoping all will be well by day’s end.

Morning sessions work especially well in areas of open shade, like this woodland setting at Ward Reservation in Andover. What a beautiful park this is, with plenty of trails and open space for the kids to explore and keep their interest. If you are searching for a Boston family photographer and are curious what time of day might work best for your family’s session, definitely get in touch so we can customize the perfect plan just for you. See you outside!
