Plum Island Engagement Proposal
NEWBURYPORT ENGAGEMENT PROPOSAL PHOTOGRAPHER
You’re planning to propose to your significant other, and you’d love to have a photographer capture the big surprise. Should you plan on booking an hour of photography or a half-hour?
Both a half-hour or hour session are perfect for documenting the proposal itself, followed by capturing a collection of candid and gently posed portraits afterward. With the hour session, we’ll have an opportunity to create a more diverse collection of photographs, given we’ll be able to take our time and explore our location in more depth. This could be especially important if you’ve traveled some distance to the location, paid an admission to use the location, are visiting from out of town, or the location has meaning to you— all great reasons to choose an hour session, especially if you know your partner would love spending time together having pictures taken.
Another vote for an hour session: your proposal is a one-of-a-kind moment. You’ll both be riding high on joy, and this is your chance to document that energy while the elation is fresh and present. Often, couples will be so invested in the whirlwind of emotions following a proposal, you’ll forget the nuances of the moments you shared. With the hour session, more of those moments will be preserved for you to enjoy forever.
And the half-hour session? This is a perfectly fine choice for capturing the proposal, taking a few pictures together, and then heading off to celebrate more privately. You can always reserve a longer engagement session for a later date, giving you a chance to decide on a location for those photographs together.
I hope these suggestions are helpful when it comes to selecting your engagement photographer and length of session. Enjoy these images from an hour session, starting with a surprise engagement proposal in the beach dunes, followed by engagement pictures on Plum Island!
