Maudslay Park Elopement Wedding Photography

NEWBURYPORT WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

More often than not, the first time I meet with a bride and groom is on their wedding day. We’ll have an initial phone or video conversation or an exchange of details via email, but if we are not connecting for an engagement session, the wedding day is our first meet and greet. It really comes down to what you as a couple are comfortable with, and meeting couples for the first time on their wedding day has always worked out wonderfully.

K+P are no exception. For their elopement at Maudslay Park in Newburyport, I first met them in the parking area, and from there we headed into the park together with a couple of their friends and the groom’s sister. Their ceremony was staged under the canopy of a beautiful Dawn Redwood, which provided some much-appreciated cover from the drizzle that started just as vows were underway. Umbrellas were on hand for the portrait-taking that followed, which always make for a stylish addition to pictures, even without rain!

I’m a big fan of elopements for their intimate, relaxed cadence. When you elope, we are not keeping time with other vendors, which means we can explore the location at our pace and be less mindful of the clock. In fact, K+P were having such a great time taking pictures, they decided to extend photography coverage longer than planned, and I’m so happy we all had the chance to enjoy their day together and it was everything they hoped for.

If you are getting married or eloping in the Boston or North Shore area and have questions about booking a photographer for your wedding, please do get in touch — I would love to know more about what you have planned!
