Boston Engagement Proposal At Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum
BOSTON ENGAGEMENT PROPOSAL PHOTOGRAPHER
You’re planning to propose to your partner, and you’re pretty sure they’d prefer being dressed in a particular way for their proposal and pictures that follow. How do you influence what your loved one might wear, without giving away the surprise? After all, it’s not every day we take an interest in what our partner is wearing, and an unusual comment about their attire could trigger some flags and spoil the surprise. One trick is to tell your partner you are taking them to an important work event or a nice restaurant. Let your significant other know you’ve made plans to take them somewhere special, motivating them to dress up in something other than their usual day clothes.
For this surprise engagement proposal at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, L. told his boyfriend they were attending a formal work function at the museum and the dress code was a tuxedo. This was a reasonable request, given the special venue and time of day, raising no suspicion that a surprise proposal was imminent. Another option is to tell your partner you’ve made plans for a nice meal at a particular restaurant. Pick a place that would prompt them to wear something you think they’d appreciate for pictures. This advice extends to other styling considerations, such as if you think your partner would appreciate having their hair or nails done. Ask one of your partner’s friends if they could set up a salon date a couple of days in advance of the proposal. This works a lot better than directly asking your partner, “Hey, you think you might want to do your nails tonight?” This is your chance to be sneaky and find ways not to spill the beans on the surprise!
I want to thank L+B for inviting me to be a part of their surprise proposal at the Gardner Museum. Their tuxes were a classy match to the elegant space, and I’m so glad we had the chance to work together on their big moment!
