LoPresti Park Engagement Proposal

Are you searching for a place in Boston to propose along the waterfront with a beautiful view of the city skyline? The first choice that comes to mind for many is Fan Pier Park. This popular engagement proposal spot, located in Boston’s Seaport District, offers a great view of the harbor framed by the city in the background.  I’ve photographed many surprise proposals and engagements in the Seaport, and this location should definitely be one of your top considerations, so long as you are comfortable with the fairly steady stream of tourists and locals visiting the destination.

If you prefer a location that is more private for your engagement proposal, I highly recommend checking out LoPresti Park in East Boston. Situated next to the ReelHouse restaurant and not far from Piers Park, LoPresti Park delivers another stunning view of the city, along with access to a rock jetty and cozy park. N. proposed to his girlfriend at LoPresti during the morning hours, and the sun’s positioning in relation to the city during this earlier part of the day was just as pretty as a late afternoon session.  The swarm of sailboats in the background made for a magical and unexpected touch, and with only a few other people in the area, N+A were able to enjoy a reasonably private moment with a dramatic view of Boston behind them.

In the Seaport, clients will often use Davio’s restaurant as an excuse to visit Fan Pier Park with their partner, under the pretense they are going out to dinner to disguise the surprise proposal that awaits them.  Similarly, at LoPresti Park, the ReelHouse makes for a perfectly good reason to visit the area, as well as a spot to celebrate after your proposal.
