Downtown Newburyport Senior Portrait Session

NEWBURYPORT, MA SENIOR PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER

Though our time together at your portrait session will last anywhere from thirty to sixty minutes, the true scope of your investment extends well beyond this timeframe. Prior to any session, there will always be considerable preparation, starting with advising on options for your session location. Questions to consider include is a permit or permission required to use the location? What parking is available? Will there be any special events at your chosen location on our session date that invite unexpected crowds? If bringing your dog, are they allowed on the property? If you are hoping for foliage, when is the foliage expected to peak this year? If your session is at a beach, when is low and high tide — your favorite spot might be underwater. When is sunset and when is the light best at your location? The week before our session, I’ll watch the forecast — is rain predicted and what are our options for rescheduling? On the day of our session, I’ll arrive early if possible and scout our location to pre-visualize picture ideas and preview the light.

After the session, your images are downloaded and backed up to three different media to ensure files are not lost. Then, your photos are carefully processed and edited, not automatically with a one-size-fits-all filter. Instead, each image you receive has been individually reviewed, color balanced, and crafted, as the lighting and tones are always changing over the duration of our session. Once the pictures are completed, an online gallery is created to host your images and make them available for sharing and download.

Knowing these details helps to appreciate the true depth of your portrait investment and understand the efforts that go toward making our collaboration successful. And speaking of wonderful sessions, do enjoy this senior portrait session photographed in downtown Newburyport. Autumn is always such a great time of year for picture taking!
