Wingaersheek Beach Senior Portraits

BOSTON SENIOR PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER

Are you searching for a senior portrait photographer in Boston, the North Shore, or surrounding New England areas? Would you love to create a collection of images that combines light posing with natural, candid moments? If so, please do get in touch! I had a fantastic time photographing this senior picture set with Melissa at Wingaersheek Beach in Gloucester. In our hour working together, we came away with so many keeper moments, and I was thrilled to hear everyone loved the results. Her family even made a fun evening out of the session by setting up some beach chairs to catch a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the picture-taking, and I think it’s great the whole family saw this as an experience to be shared and enjoyed together.

For seniors looking to make the most of their session, consider these tips. For beach sessions where you’d like to wear one outfit with pants and another with a dress, I recommend first starting with the slacks or jeans, saving the dress for the second half of the session. This way, you stay dry while first shooting on the sands, with the dress being a perfect match for playtime in the water. Another tip: if you’re not planning on wearing that hair scrunchy on your wrist during the session, consider removing it an hour or so before the session so the imprint on your skin goes away by the time picture-taking starts. Tip three: try to avoid any sunbathing a week before the session that might create outlines you prefer not to be visible with your chosen senior session wardrobe. Lastly, bring a bug repellant, even to the beach. You’d be surprised how quickly the little buggers become a nuisance as the sun goes down.

Your senior portrait session should be a fun, stress-free experience that’s as enjoyable as the pictures you’ll receive. I look forward to hearing from you to set up a session of your very own! Have a fantastic senior year!
