Most of the work on this blog is usually from commissioned assignments and sessions, but every once in a while I think it's important to play around with the camera, see what you get, and share the results. I have a few friends who are very good about regularly getting together to shoot, just for the thrill of it and to exercise their creative muscles.
So, I joined the guys for lunch yesterday afternoon at The Proud Bird, a timeless spot by LAX airport, with a full view of WWII fighter planes and other aircraft relics slumbering just outside the restaurant's big plate glass windows. It's pretty amazing to think these birds were all racing about in the sky at one point, guns blazing. Flash forward to 2008 and now four dudes armed with cameras are shooting them. Life's funny, ain't it?
